Health League

Health League was founded in 1944 by a group of young people under the patronage of Raja Bahadur Venkat Rama Reddy and is a more than 75 years old Institution. The Institution is engaged mainly in coaching indigenous games/sports and socio cultural activities since the time of its formation.

The Institution has a play ground contained in area of 2200 sq yards and has produced many State, National and international level sportsmen and sportswomen in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho- Kho, Gymnastics , Rope and Pole Mallakhamb. The players are coached in all the above mentioned sports disciplines.

Health League is also the authorized coaching centre for rope/pole Mallakhamb under “Khelo India” scheme of The Union Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and trains around 80 boys and girls , on daily basis.

Other than many players over last so many decades, presently 30 of the players trained at Health League have represented Telangana State in the National Championships.

Our Activities

GYMNASIUM

Gymnasium was always an integral part of Health League since its formation. Thousands of people, young and old, have availed this facility over the years.

Ahilya School

The School was founded in 1975 under Ahilya Education Society and has been imparting quality education at a very affordable fee structure.

MALLAKHAMB

Health League is the official coaching centre approved by the Sports Authority of India under the Union Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.

TABLE TENNIS

Table Tennis is a recently added activity at Health League. Two standard specification Tables are available .

KUCHIPUDI DANCE

The disciple of Kuchipudi exponent Dr P Rama Devi, Priyanka Bharde, founder director of Hiranmayee Kuchipudi Nrityalaya conducts Kuchipudi Dance Classes twice a week.

HINDUSTANI CLASSICAL VOCAL

Hindustani classical singer Aradhana Karhade who has given many memorable performances across the country and who specializes in voice culture, conducts classical vocal classes twice a week.

Daily Yoga classes are conducted under the expert guidance of Shri Mukund Kulkarni.

KHO KHO

Health League has been in the forefront of the Kho Kho domain of the State. It has been the foremost Institution where Kho Kho coaching was imparted.
